Awards to encourage and celebrate riders on fixed-wheel cycles, who ride such machines either for the additional challenge or because they appreciate the minimalist simplicity of them.
This section of Audax enjoys a dedicated and growing following.
Awards may be gained by completing Audax rides on fixed wheel bikes. A trophy is awarded to both the man and woman achieving the highest number of points in a season.
Any rider completing either the Fixed-Wheel Challenge or the Super Fixed Wheeler Award may purchase the appropriate insignia (which is currently under review) and will have their name recorded during the following season on this page.
Fixed-Wheel Challenge
Points are allocated on the scale of 1 points per complete 100km. AAA events carry a bonus equal to the AAA points. Riders need to amass 25 points to qualify for the Fixed-Wheel Challenge award. Riders gaining 15 points or more shall have their names included in a published list.
Super Fixed Wheel Award
Ride a Super Randonneur series on fixed, or 20 AAA points in a season.
