Advice to Organisers Results Sheet

Audax UK requires a results sheet or sheets to be returned after each event, along with the Brevet Cards and the Event Returns document, to the Validation Secretary or a nominated assistant.

AUK's standard Results Sheet has, firstly, a header showing event details which may, if you're lucky be already filled in. Of prime importance is the Event Number, which you will find printed somewhere on the inside of the brevet cards - this year it is just a serial number, eg 45 - please make sure this is printed clearly in the header of the Results Sheet. There is another serial number, usually handwritten in the right-hand corner of the standard Results Sheet - AUK needs both numbers, on any Results Sheet or replica Results Sheet that you submit.

The rest of the form consists of 7 columns, headed
Brevet, AUK No., Name, CTC DA, Club, Time, Medal
Please leave the first column blank and fill in the next 2, ie AUK No. and Name, for successful finishers only.

The next 3 columns, that is, DA, Club, Time - are, generally speaking, not required - you do not actually need to fill them in, except in certain special circumstances.

Here are the special circumstances when you might need to put something in these columns -

If your event appears in the Calendar as 'BRM', then times are recorded, as these results are also recorded by Audax Club Parisien, who do require times. So you need to fill in the Time column - with the elapsed riding time, not the time of day finishing time please - so that it can be passed on to ACP.

If your event appears in the Calendar as 'BRM', and a rider is not an AUK member, then AUK needs his/her DA or Club information, if any. There is no need to fill in this information for members, however.

If your event is registered with the DATC, then you will need to fill in the CTC DA column for the benefit of the DATC Organiser. Otherwise - AUK does not need it.

Although replica Results Sheets are acceptable, they need to have the same 7 columns, laid out in the same order, and with sufficent space in column 1 for a brevet number to be written in by the Validator.
'Landscape' format is greatly preferred.

Organisers can now use the power of AUK's online membership database to speed the construction of their Start Lists, which can also be converted to Results Sheets. You can just type in a membership number, and the rest of the line is generated for you. The Start Sheet is saved and you can come back and add to it at any time. Its even possible to prepare a list of numbers off-line, and pour them in all at once.
Do this via the Organisers Gateway.
