AUK's PBP Shirts

I must agree with Tom Long, the Audax PBP shirts were messy and could have been anyone’s. What was wrong with Margaret Hopper’s brilliant colour scheme and layout? Her design could surely have been used with perhaps the emblems of each of the home nations in addition to the AUDAX UK. I say this for the very good reason that whilst riding in last year’s event [PBP] Derek Monkhouse and I were congratulated by a couple of Americans on our Audax colours, which were of course Margaret’s tops. I also would like to know why the old design, which was so distinctive, was changed to the new. We are not a football club and I can see no point in changing our strip just for the sake of something new
