London Edinburgh London 2017

The next London-Edinburgh-London is scheduled to start on the 30th July 2017. This is Audax UK's biggest and most prestigious event which runs every 4 years and has grown considerably since it first ran in 1989 when there were 26 finishers. Although the route changes a little with each edition it will take you on a 1400km from the flatter terrain in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire to hillier terrain further north in the Pennines and Scotland's Southern Uplands. The route is mostly on quiet roads and lanes

Entries open on the 20th January 2017 and the price will include:

  • All food and drink at controls
  • All beds and blankets (where available)
  • Showers (where available)
  • Two drop bags (at selected controls)
  • Bike repairs (excluding parts)
  • Online tracking
  • Moto support along the route
  • Finishers’ medal
  • Finishers’ meal
  • Ride validation with Audax UK and Les Randonneurs Mondiaux

Controls and Facilities

Along the route there are control points where you’ll get hot food, showers and somewhere to sleep. The food is basic but there will be plenty of it. We provide inflatable beds and blankets in sports halls, and we’ll even give you a wake-up call if you need it. Our bike mechanics will do their best to fix your bike if it’s broken, and we can help if you get sick or can’t finish the ride. All this is included in the price.

London-Edinburgh-London is only possible thanks to the tremendous effort put in by the volunteers who work throughout the event. If you are considering volunteering more information is available here.
