C2C

200km cycling event starting from Kirkland, Whitehaven. Controls at Whitehaven, Keswick, Penrith and Consett , plus 1 information control.

C2C Audax, 'make it count'. One of the “narrowest” coast-to-coast crossings Irish Sea to the North Sea, through The Lake District, well sign posted. Optional: off-road adventure, Country park, bike/tyre accordingly

Recommend bivvy/liner & mat option to sleep in the Hall night before. The vast majority of the roads are very quiet, you will see very little traffic during the day, except in towns. This an ACH SR qualifier. Allow time after the arrivee to dip your wheel in the North Sea, with leisurely ride via 'home of the Rocket' https://stephensonrailwaymuseum.org.uk/collection/our-collections. Postal finish if you get back before cutoff time (and a big well done) Aka The Rocket.
