200km cycling event starting from Newcastle. Controls at Tynemouth, Haltwhistle and Carlisle, plus 2 information controls. Hadrian's Wall Path in a day. One of the “narrowest” coast-to-coast crossings Irish Sea to the North Sea, through Northern Pennines, well sign posted. Recommend bivvy/liner & mat option to sleep in Hall, return C2C.
Route uses old train tracks, Hadrian's Wall Cycle path on occasion, recommend 25mm tyres, unless venturing off-read. The vast majority of the roads are very quiet. This an ACH SR qualifier. Allow time to dip your wheel in the Irish Sea and North Sea. Near the start is 'home of the Rocket' https://stephensonrailwaymuseum.org.uk/collection/our-collections. Postal finish if you get back before cutoff time.. but why not stay and do C2C return the following day, 2 classic rides in a weekend Aka The Rocket
