604km cycling event starting from Llandrindod. Controls at Elan Valley (Penbont), Llanidloes, Tywyn, Abertridwr, Newtown., Kington., Abergavenny. and Talybont-on-Usk, plus 7 information controls.This event has a mandatory route - you should follow the route instructions as closely as possible. Possibly the ultimate 'climbers' a 600 that includes some of the most iconic roads in Wales. The ultimate test of self sufficiency. And numerous sections of off-road tracks.
A stiff challenge, riders carry everything they require for the ride they have planned. there will be controls for you to stock-up to see you through the night when you will be tested on your ability to self-support. Climbs include Devils Staircase, Bwlch-y-Groes, Gospel Pass to name but a few. you will also cross the mid-Wales dessert. you'll ford various streams and rivers (sometimes bridge bypasses might be available). Do you have what it takes to complete the challenge? Only a few do. All profits to be donated to charity.
