Knockerdown

211km cycling event starting from Matlock Bath, Derbyshire. Controls at Parsley Hay, Macclesfield, Flash Bar, Ipstones and Parsley Hay, plus 7 information controls.

A tough ride exploring the magnificence of the White Peak. Quiet lanes, superb scenery, plenty of hills, plus lots of light offroad, including the Monsal Trail, the Manifold Trail and part of the High Peak Trail.

Based on John Perrin's Knockerdown ride, now with a new organiser and a change of start location to Matlock Bath. A few more info controls than usual to make the route go to all the best parts of the Peak! Note: This is a very tough ride for experienced randonneurs. It passes through remote countryside, with limited bail-out options. No entries on the day! All profits will be donated to charity.
