210km cycling event starting from Llandrindod. Controls at Llanidloes and Machynlleth, plus 2 information controls.
Route leaves Llandrindod making itís way through the Elan Valley to Cwmystwyth. Climbing out of the Cwmystwyth valley through the upper Wye Valley to the small market town Llanidloes. Departing Llanidloes aong the banks of the Upper Severn through the Hafren Forest and eventually on to the head of the Dylife Gorge and descending to Machynlleth. The return route traces east along lanes to Talerdigg, then predominantly downward route through various villages to Newtown. After climbing out of Newtown the route follows the Teme Valley to Knucklas. From thereon the route meanders back to Llandrindod via quiet lanes. The route is a mixture of minor roads and lanes, B-roads and A-roads and recognised national cycle routes. The route follows asphalt surfaces, and can be traversed on road bike.
