North Pennines Wednesday 3
102km cycling event starting from St Johns Chapel. Controls at Middleton in Teesdale, plus 3 information controls. Mid-week event starting and finishing in St Johns Chapel. Undulating but very scenic route through the heart of the North Pennines.
A basic event but there are facilities at the café at the start and finish as well as some opportunities for refreshments or a rest on the route. The route is very scenic and most of the climbing is gradual. The route passes through Allenheads, Coalcleugh, the edge of Alston and then over Yad Moss. The route continues through to Eggleston before the gradual climb over Middleton Common to Frosterley where it follows the valley back to St Johns Chapel. Car Parking in Village. Limited entry. NO EOD. Entries for this event are limited and may close before the closing date. If entries are not full at the closing date there may only be a limited number of late entries available if any. If you intend to enter and ride this event then early entry is encouraged to secure a place. For entry updates see Facebook Page 'Tyneside Vagabonds Audax Events'.
