Velos Indian Summer light
114km cycling event starting from Llanfallteg. Controls at Brechfa and Newcastle Emlyn. A scenic introduction to West Wales audaxing for those not quite ready for the full monty Indian Summer Secret, brimming with the same principle ingredients: quiet lanes, hills and mountains. Pack your climbing legs!
This route follows the longer Indian summer route to just beyond Carmarthen, before making its way North into the Cambrian mountains. It travels out of the Towy valley, through historic Brechfa and over into the Teifi valley, then down to Newcastle Emlyn. From here it rejoins the bigger brother 200 for the final roller coaster back to Llanfallteg. It's half the distance, but more than half the climbing, so be prepared.
