This will be the 8th edition of the London Ditchling Devil which has developed into one of the major events for in the London Audax Calendar with around 400 riders taking part ranging from hardbitten roadies to riders looking to step up for their first 100mile/200km outing. This is a great event for those new to longer distances with a good mix of roads and an organised refreshment stop every 50km. We start outside the Windmill Tearoom on Wimbledon Common and whilst fast types finish in Richmond Park, most of us will signoff in the Rose of York on Petersham Hill, adjacent to Richmond Gate, which makes for a great atmosphere as riders wind-down and relax. This is a rare chance for Londonders to leave the car at home and ride up to ane event. Nothing beats riding from home down to the coast and back - it's always a blast.
