154km cycling event starting from Bovey Tracey, Devon. Controls at Whiddon Down and Yelverton, plus 3 information controls. Under the ethereal light of the almost full moon, experience the wonder of the open Dartmoor roads, & visit numerous 'haunted' locations on your way. Full English breakfast at the finish included in your entry fee.
The best ghost spotting sites are at Jay's Grave, Okehampton Castle, Lydford village and The Hairy Hands! The moon will rise at 9.34pm, it will set at 7.06am after reaching 98.7% of maximum luminescence and ascending to 22.6 degrees above the horizon. There are a mixture of lanes, main roads, and optional cycle tracks (including a tunnel), and few street lights, so good reliable lights are essential. Ghost themed decoration and costume are however optional. The only shop open on the route is at 40km, so you will need to be self-sufficient, there will also be a hall control with food at 95km.
