The Willy Warmer

209km cycling event starting from Chalfont St Peter. Controls at Pangbourne, Hungerford and Winnersh, plus 4 information controls.

A 'Ride Round Ride' just right for a short winter's day, mostly on quiet A and B roads.

We kick off from the Community Centre as usual for a fast run down to Pangbourne, then onwards to Lambourn and Hungerford for Lunch at the internally renowned 'Tutti Pole' cafe. Then it's a quiet swing through the underbelly of the Newbury Downs and an easy run to the Java Cafe in Winnersh before popping on to Maidenhead and the gradual climb back to Chalfont. Light snacks available before and after. Riders are welcome to stay over at the community centre on the Friday night on a 'No Mod Cons' basis (bring a sleeping bag!). We usually meet up at the White Hart in Chalfont village for a night cap before wondering back to the centre around midnight. If you'd like to stay over, drop me a line so I have an idea who to expect.
