Rowlands RAAAmble

215km cycling event starting from Surbiton, Greater London. Controls at Hindhead, Rowlands Castle and Wisborough Green, plus 3 information controls.

A scenic and challenging ride out over the hills to Rowlands Castle (near Portsmouth) and back. Good commercial controls to keep you fuelled on the way, plus a hearty breakfast & supper courtesy of Kingston Wheelers

After a successful debut last year the Kingston Wheeler's Rowlands RAAAmble is back in 2017. Starting with a classic Wheeler's breakfast you are soon out of town and riding over the Downs and along country lanes. This scenic Grimpeurs du Sud route with climbs such as the Devil's Punchbowl and Leith Hill and a double crossing of the South Downs makes it a great Audax day out. Although not the easiest 200 in the south-east the three cafe controls en-route will keep you going and on arrival at the finish a hot supper will be provided. And for those in need there will be the opportunity to purchase a pint or two of real ale-based recovery drinks from the bar.
