155km cycling event starting from Bovey Tracey, Devon. Controls at Whiddon Down and Yelverton, plus 3 information controls. Under the ethereal light of the 3/4 moon, experience the wonder of the open Dartmoor roads, & visit numerous 'haunted' locations on your way.
Breakfast at the finish is included in your entry fee.
The best ghost spotting sites are at Jay's Grave, Okehampton Castle, Lydford village and The Hairy Hands! The moon will rise at 1.52pm, it will set at 1.37am, after reaching 67% of maximum luminescence, as you depart it will be at an altitude of 28 degrees. There are a mixture of lanes, main roads, and optional cycle tracks (including a tunnel), and few street lights, so good reliable lights are essential. The only shop open on the route is at 40km, so you will need to be self-sufficient, there should also be a hall control with food at 95km.
